Private Lessons in Yemenite Silversmithing

Imagine creating the jewelry that your ancestors once wore.
Working together at the bench, with fire and metal, I guide you through the same process that has been passed down through generations. As you learn, the process becomes your own, as you create your first ring.
One-on-one training in Traditional silversmithing
hands-on technical instruction
cultural and historical understanding

How the Lessons Are Structured
Lessons are held one-on-one in 2-hour sessions, once a week, allowing for a focused and personal learning experience.
Each student begins with a foundation phase, where the basic techniques of silversmithing are developed. This includes working with tools, soldering, sawing, and getting familiar with how silver behaves. Alongside the technical work, students are introduced to traditional Yemenite forms, design language, and the cultural background of the jewelry. There is a clear structure to what is taught, but the lessons are flexible and adapted to each student, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace while building a strong foundation.
Progress is based on skill and readiness rather than time. As students become more comfortable and confident, the lessons naturally move into more advanced work and a more personal direction. This is not a fast-paced course, but a process focused on learning properly, with patience, attention to detail, and a real understanding of the craft.
Workshops
In addition to ongoing private lessons, one-time workshops are also available.
These can be tailored for individuals who want to experience the craft in a single session, friends or couples looking to create something together, or ring-focused sessions where participants complete a piece in one sitting.
Workshops are more guided and focused on completing a piece within a shorter time, while still introducing the basic techniques and materials.
