Gold Vermeil
Care Tips
-
Gold vermeil is delicate; avoid heavy scrubbing or polishing cloths.
-
Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, sleeping, or applying perfumes, creams, or other acidic products.
-
Store each piece in a soft pouch or an airtight box to protect the gold layer and prevent scratches.
Quick Clean (for everyday use)
-
Use a clean, soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe away surface oils, dust, and signs of daily wear.
Deeper Clean (as needed)
-
Mix warm (not hot) water with a few drops of gentle dish soap.
-
Dip a very soft cloth into the soapy water and gently wipe the jewelry.
-
Rinse using a clean cloth dipped in fresh water; do not soak the piece.
-
Pat dry thoroughly with a towel, then allow it to air dry completely before storing.
If the Gold Has Darkened
This doesn’t always mean the plating is damaged; it can be from oils or chemical contact.
Gently wipe again with a soft cloth. Avoid silver polishing cloths; they may be too abrasive.
