Shadra Amulet Case
$385.00
Description
The Shadra is a classic Yemenite amulet case design. In Yemen, and in many ancient cultures, cylinder amulet cases were among the most important types of jewelry, created to hold and protect what was kept inside. The name Shadra comes from the silver balls decorating the case, which were believed to protect the wearer’s spirit.
Traditionally, they contained written prayers, inscriptions, or healing herbs from nature, preserving their purity and intention. This amulet case opens from the side and can hold something personal and close to the heart.
Handcrafted in traditional Yemenite filigree and granulation.
