Rimonim Rings
The Rimonim Rings displayed symbolize the Rimonim that hang on the covers of Torah scrolls. In Yemen, silversmiths created Rimonim with a high level of precision because of their strong association with Judaism. In these rings, several traditional styles of Yemenite silversmithing are brought together, including filigree, granulation, and sheet work, contrasting with the practice in Yemen where each silversmith usually specialized in a single technique.
Mizmir Ring
The Mizmir ring is shaped after the cone-like form found in jewelry elements known as Mizmir or Tatarif. These forms were woven into the ends of chains, and their spiked texture was intended to protect the neck and the heart of the jewelry. The ring is adorned with a twisted zigzag wire (Maswaq), creating a continuous and rhythmic line.
Handcrafted in traditional Yemenite filigree, granulation, and sheet work, made from sterling silver 925 and pure silver 999.
