The Mizmir (from Arabic: cone) takes its form from a traditional jewelry element known as Mizmir or Tatarif. In Yemenite jewelry, these pointed forms were woven into the ends of chains, where their sharp texture served to protect the neck and heart of the piece — and, symbolically, the person who wore it.
This ring reimagines that ancient protective form as a singular sculptural object. Its surface is adorned with a twisted zigzag wire, known as Maswag, a continuous motif that represents endurance and eternal movement.
The Mizmir Ring was exhibited in Umm Subyan — a group exhibition exploring the mystical and protective dimensions of Yemenite tradition — presented at Zemack Gallery and The Art House in Tel Aviv, where it received recognition for its refined craftsmanship and cultural resonance.
